 watch out for the strap attachments Apr 03, 2010
I really love the look and the color of the bag (blue). The problem that I have with this bag is the metal attachments from the straps to the bag. The attachments have a defect and/or is not durable. After two weeks of carrying the bag all but one attachment broke, leaving me with a big bag without the straps attached. Therefore, making it difficult to carry (I cannot carry it the way it was intended to be carried: Shoulder bag). The strap attachments are made of a metal plastic material and if not handled very carefully or if you try to detach the straps, the attachment breaks at the spring and there are no additional attachment that comes with the bag. At this time,I will not recommend.

I ordered the purple, expecting a deeper color and a softer leather. When I got it in I wasn't sure that I was going to keep it but I'm glad I did. I love the large size and I get a lot of compliments when I wear it. I like the light lining and the external zippered pocket. Overall very glad that I ordered it.

This is the second Latico handbag I have purchased as a gift for my mother. She was first introduced to the Latico Brand at a Sam's Club where they retail for about $150-300. Amazon's prices on these bags are amazing! The quality of Latico's leather in impeccable and they give a more lived in feel as you carry them; my mother owns two and that has been the case (plus this one which she is getting for Christmas!),they look better and better as she carries them. When I opened the box after receiving the package I was impressed by the size because she loves big bags, and the leather was a soft distressed brown as expected. The inside is the same as most Latico Bags with card slots, a zippered pocket and a leather and floral interior. My mother loves these bags and its hard to please her because she is used to carrying Coach, Dooney, and other very expensive names. And let me tell you, with the quality you get in these bags they are up there competing with the high end leather bags at a better price. And guys if your looking for a gift for your mother or that special girl in your life, Latico is a cost conscious way to go!

This bag was ok, not great. The leather was nice enough but the interior lining is cheap fabric and does not feature a lot of organizing pockets which it really needs since this is a large tote bag, not a handbag. The zipper was stiff to operate. I got it in the purple which looked great in the photos but is faded and kind of dry in real life. For the price it needs to be a whole lot better - returning this item.
