Great look and quality, but not structured Sep 03, 2011

Very nice bag, it has the typical great quality that B Makowsky is known for. It is just the right size to hold my stuff with plenty of room to spare, and the leather is soft. I don't actually use the outside front zippered pockets, but they look nice. My only complaint is that the bag is not structured, so, when you set it down, it collapses into a blob. It won't stand up like it does in the photo. This also makes it harder to find items in the bag. The shoulder strap is nice and wide. I use both the handles and the shoulder strap (but not at the same time!) I recommend it if you don't mind the lack of structure.

Somehow I managed to get this bag for $100, free shipping on Amazon. It retails for $268, so that is quite a deal! I looked and looked for the right size to fit an occasional laptop, diapers, note pad, etc.... This bag is the ONE! I also wanted a strap that was wide to go over the shoulder. Those handles for most satchels are attractive, but I find they dig in to my shoulder with a heavier bag (and slip off my shoulder too). I haven't gotten my bag yet but I am so pleased with what I found I keep coming back to look at it online. I'll review again once it arrives. Keeping my fingers crossed....
